Our Believe

What We Believe

God

There is only one God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, infinite in being, perfect in holiness and love. He exists eternally in three Persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, who is of one substance and equal in power and glory.

Bible

Is the inspired and only infallible written Word of God. Divine inspiration extends equally and fully to all parts of the original writings. The sixty-six canonical books of the Old and the New Testaments to be inspired by God, hence infallible and entirely trustworthy. They are the ultimate authority for faith and practice.

Son

The Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal and only begotten Son of the Father, is true God and true man. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and was born of a virgin birth. He lived a sinless life in total obedience to the will of the Father, and died on the cross as the sinner’s substitute, shedding His blood for the remission of sin once and for all. On the third day He rose from the dead and ascended to the right hand of the Father, where He is our perpetual mediator and intercessor.

Holy Spirit

Is also God, He has personal characteristics that individuals may relate to Him as a person. The Holy Spirit brings individuals to repent of their sins, to trust the Lord Jesus Christ, and to experience the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the physical sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance of spiritual power in public testimony and service.

Fall of man & Salvation

Man was created good and upright, for God. But, man, by voluntary transgression, fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God. By God’s grace the repentant sinner, through trusting alone in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, is put right with God, adopted by the Father into His family and receives eternal life.

Church

The Church is the company of all who have become children of God through faith in Christ and have been knit together by the Holy Spirit into one body of which the Lord Jesus is the head.

Resurrection

Jesus Christ will come again, personally, visibly, and in great glory as Lord. The Bible promises the return of Jesus Christ and bodily resurrection of all saint, the everlasting conscious bliss of all who truly believe in our Lord Jesus Christ and the everlasting conscious punishment of all who are lost.

Ordinances of the church:

A. Water Baptism: The ordinance of baptism is practiced by immersion, portraying a burial with Christ as commanded in the Bible by all who have truly repented and accepted Christ as Savior in their hearts. In so doing, they declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life.

B. The Lord’s Supper: The ordinance of communion isparticipated by believers until Christ’s return. It is a symbol of memorial and proclamation of the suffering and death of our Lord Jesus Christ.
